Adipurush makes history as the biggest FLOP with a huge box office collection

The highly anticipated film 'Adipurush' starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon receives criticism on Twitter for its haphazard VFX and cringeworthy dialogues. Despite the backlash, the movie garners substantial ticket sales and is predicted to have a strong opening weekend

The much-awaited film 'Adipurush' finally hit theaters on Friday, featuring Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita, Saif Ali Khan as Ravana, and Sunny Singh as Laxman. However, upon its release, Twitter users quickly expressed their disappointment with the film's visual effects and dialogues.

Despite selling over 470,000 tickets for its first weekend shows and expectations of crossing the Rs 50 crore mark on its opening day, many filmgoers took to Twitter to criticize director Om Raut for his approach to the epic Ramayan.

Comparisons were drawn to Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, a beloved television series from the late 80s, leaving some viewers with a less favorable impression of 'Adipurush.'

Particular dialogues in the film have received significant backlash, with numerous Twitter users labeling them as "pure cringe.

" Lines such as "Jo humari behno ko haath lagaayenge, unki lanka laga denge" (We will destroy the kingdom of those who harm our sisters) and "Teri bua ka bageecha hai jo hawa khane aa gaya?" (Are you here to enjoy the breeze in your aunt's garden?) have been specifically called out as objectionable.

Twitter users expressed their disappointment, with one stating, "The 'Adipurush' makers have messed this up beyond redemption.

After including such dialogues about our gods, they have included a disclaimer that it isn't based on Valmiki's Ramayana. Mocking Ramayana while playing it safe legally. Ridiculous... Hurtful."

Another user criticized the use of tapori (slang) language by Hanuman, stating, "Hanuman using tapori language is not acceptable at all."

While 'Adipurush' has faced criticism on social media, it continues to attract audiences and generate buzz in theaters.
