Dramatic footage has surfaced showing rapper Travis Scott being escorted out of a luxury Paris hotel in handcuffs following an altercation with his bodyguard.
The incident occurred early Friday morning at the Four Seasons Hotel George V, where the 33-year-old artist was staying while attending the Paris Olympics.
The video begins with three male police officers dragging Scott through the hotel lobby before forcefully leading him into a waiting police vehicle. His hands were cuffed behind his back, and despite attempts by paparazzi and onlookers to question him, Scott remained silent as he was placed in the backseat of the car. Officers then secured his seatbelt before closing the door.
According to sources, the altercation between Scott and his bodyguard began after a dispute over local paparazzi, with one photographer allegedly gaining access to the trunk of Scott’s car. The argument escalated, leading to a heated exchange between the rapper and his security team. An insider revealed that the situation became so intense that hotel staff called the police, prompting Scott's arrest.
The Paris prosecutor’s office issued a statement confirming the arrest, stating, "On August 9, 2024, police officers were called to the George V hotel and arrested the rapper known as Travis Scott for assaulting a security guard." The statement added that the security guard had stepped in to separate Scott from his bodyguard during the confrontation. The case has now been referred to the 1st district of the judicial police for further investigation.
Footage captured by bystanders also shows Scott being guided by police into a van after his handcuffs were removed. The rapper’s representatives have since stated that they are in direct communication with Parisian authorities to resolve the matter and will provide updates as appropriate.
