On Sunday, the United Nations stated that Russia has, up to this point, refused the request for access to the regions under its temporary military control following the rupture of the Kakhovka Dam on June 6.
The dam breach resulted in the release of floodwaters and the disruption of essential supplies to civilians.
The UN remains committed to pursuing the required access and will continue to engage with the aim of securing it.
In a statement, Denise Brown, the UN's humanitarian coordinator for Ukraine, emphasized the importance of Russia fulfilling its obligations under international humanitarian law.
Brown stressed that denying aid to individuals in need is unacceptable, urging the Russian authorities to take appropriate action.
