Alexandra Daddario, a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, has established herself as a versatile actress with a devoted fan base.
While she captivates audiences with her striking blue eyes and bold fashion choices, she has also fearlessly taken on daring nude scenes throughout her career.
However, there was a particular moment during the filming of the television series 'True Detective' when Daddario admitted to feeling unnerved.
Having embarked on her acting journey at the age of 15 with her portrayal of Laurie Lewis in the ABC show 'All My Children,' Daddario's breakthrough role came in 2010 as Annabeth Chase in the film 'Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.'
Eager to explore diverse genres, Daddario viewed her involvement in the television series 'True Detective' as a strategic move to make a lasting impact on her career. Despite initial reluctance from the show's creators, she reportedly campaigned to secure the role for herself.
While she recognized the potential significance of the show for her career, Daddario also felt apprehensive upon discovering that she would be filming a nude scene alongside Woody Harrelson.
As an actress who had never before exposed herself on camera, the scene posed a considerable challenge, especially considering her co-star, the renowned actor from 'Now You See Me.'
Over time, Daddario came to understand that the scene served a narrative purpose within the show.
Speaking about the scene during an interview with Interview magazine, she expressed, "It was the first time I was nude for anything, so I was definitely unnerved by that, but I think any implied misogyny is a result of defining the characters."
Daddario went on to share her initial nervousness about performing the scene with Harrelson, whom she had always perceived as a family-oriented individual. She explained, "You see Woody Harrelson’s character as a family guy and then, all of a sudden, you see him in this very sexual situation with this naked girl. It just completely changes the way you see him."
However, she later revealed that Harrelson played a crucial role in making her feel comfortable during the filming process.
'True Detective' featured both Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey in leading roles.
